Jennie is the clinical director of MyTurn Rehabilitation.  Since graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 1995, Jennie has gained extensive experience in the management of individuals with Neurological conditions across a number of clinical settings including acute, subacute and community teams. In 2004, she graduated from Melbourne University with a Masters in Neurological Physiotherapy.

Jennie returned to Brisbane in 2005 and established a private practice, bringing with her the expertise gained from working in Neurological Rehabilitation Centres in Melbourne and the United Kingdom.

Whilst Jennie’s experience spans the management of most neurological conditions, she has a particular interest in the management of spinal cord injury, stroke and traumatic brain injury. Jennie was awarded Titled Membership of the APA in June 2008.

Randall is the non-clinical director of MyTurn Rehabilitation. Randall has had a diverse career in Physiotherapy for over 20 years, including working in the Private and Public Sectors in acute care and rehabilitation within the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy field. Having founded MyTurn Rehabilitation with Jennie McCorkell in 2008, Randall continues to work with the MyTurn team to maintain our quality focus and provides consultation to Team Members on all things Musculoskeletal. Randall continues to work clinically in the Musculoskeletal field within the Public Health sector.

Prior to working at MyTurn Rehabilitation she worked as the Rehabilitation Lead and Senior Neurological Physiotherapist at St. Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, as well as roles in other public and private hospitals in Qld. Amanda has recently completed the Basic Bobath course.

Anouska has worked as a Physiotherapist in Queensland and the UK since graduating in 2003. She has worked as the team Physio for the Australian Para-Cycling Team and the British Para and Olympic Cycling Teams over four Olympic/Paralympic cycles. Anouska is involved in international Para-Cycling classification and regular travels overseas to classify athletes with disabilities into competition categories. Anouska’s special interests include: working with people with disabilities, disability sport, biomechanics and musculoskeletal injuries.

After graduating from the University of Sydney in 2012, Caroline started working in a multimodal sports physiotherapy practice as a generalist musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Since then she has worked across a number of private practices, working with acute sporting and non-sporting injuries as well as more chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She moved up to Queensland in 2016 to start a family and has continued to work in the musculoskeletal field. 

Caroline is experienced in prescribing clinical pilates interventions as well as hands on manual therapy and functional exercise prescription. She recently worked in the aged care setting, assisting older people with a number of neurological conditions (e.g. post-stroke, Parkinson’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis) to improve their mobility and every day function. Caroline is looking forward to further developing her skills in neurological rehabilitation at MyTurn Rehabilitation.

Graduating in 2015, Emma gained foundational skills working as a generalist rehabilitation physiotherapist for several years at one of Australia’s largest private hospitals in Melbourne before specialising in the field of neurology. Emma’s experience stems from working in inpatient neuro-rehabilitation managing progressive neurological disorders and acquired brain injuries.

Emma made the move to Brisbane and started working with MyTurn Rehabilitation in 2021. Emma believes in ‘movement for all’ and is passionate about empowering her clients to achieve their best. Although Emma welcomes clients from any background, she has a special interest in brain injury and concussion rehabilitation.  Emma is passionate about ensuring her clients have the opportunity to regain high level mobility and return to the exercise, sport or play that they love.

Estelle commenced working as a Physiotherapist in Manchester in 2009, starting her career in a large teaching hospital. She moved to New Zealand to work in rehabilitation and this has continued to be her area of interest. Estelle has worked with MyTurn Rehabilitation since arriving in Australia in 2015. She really enjoys working with people who have neurological conditions, developing treatment plans for patients in line with their goals, to achieve the best possible outcome. Estelle enjoys helping people with their mobility no matter what the condition. She has spent a lot of her career working with people following a stroke, from initial hospital admission to several years following the initial event. She have continued her education since qualifying, completing the Basic Bobath Course, Acupuncture, and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation.

In particular, she has experience in Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injuries, Functional Neurological Disorder, Cerebral Palsy and Brain Injuries. Holly has worked with children as young as 7 through to older adults.

Holly is due to complete her Graduate Certificate in Neurological Rehabilitation through Edith Cowan University, in July 2022. Holly believes in movement as medicine and its ability to support individuals to achieve their best quality of life.

Katarina’s interest in neurological rehabilitation started early when working as a new graduate at Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital where she saw a wide range of neurological conditions and the very latest in medical management. She was a Senior Physiotherapist in the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre in Sydney for 9 years, where she developed a special interest in brain injury rehabilitation. Having witnessed the incredible effects that neuroplasticity can have after neurological injury, Katarina loves helping each client to maximise their potential through functional retraining.

After making the move to the Gold Coast, Katarina was a senior rehabilitation physiotherapist at the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service before moving into the community.
